How do I access the Child Care Subsidy?
Visit the Alberta Children and Youth Services website to complete the application process. You will be required to mail in additional information. This subsidy can pay full, monthly tuition fees for your child at attend Didsbury Preschool, upon approval. This Subsidy is geared towards Low and Middle-income families.

Why are we required to fundraise?
Didsbury Preschool is a non-profit society, so we rely on fundraising for our basic operations. We receive funding from community grants and donations, but these do not cover all of our costs. For this school year, we will be selling 'Cookie Dough' and putting on a Pub Night due to popular demand. Please watch our newsletters for details.

Fundraising is a very important aspect of the Preschool's Budget. In order to keep our monthly fees affordable for all families, yet maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for our children, the Preschool must generate revenue from other sources.

Why do I need to volunteer as a parent helper?
Provincial licensing requires we have an additional adult at the school during class time or we cannot keep the school open. We ask every parent to volunteer a few times a year as this additional adult. Educational Assistants and other professionals do not count as the extra adult.

The kids also really enjoy their "special day" and take great pride in showing their daily routine to their parents and showing off their parents to their friends.

Please read our Preschool Handbook for a complete list of the School Policies.
