About the Didsbury Preschool Society
A Community Preschool Rooted in Quality Early Childhood Education Since 1978
Founded in 1978 by a dedicated group of local parents, Didsbury Preschool Society was created to give young children a strong, confident start before entering the school system. More than four decades later, we remain proud to serve families in the Didsbury and Mountain View County area with trusted, play-based early childhood education.
As a licensed, non-profit preschool, our focus has always been simple: provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming place where children ages 3–5 can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Mission
Didsbury Preschool Society provides a nurturing, age-appropriate learning environment where children learn through play. Our program supports social, emotional, physical, and early academic development, preparing children for a smooth transition to kindergarten.
We believe preschool is your child’s first stepping stone in their educational journey, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Through guided activities and open-ended exploration, children build confidence, independence, friendships, and foundational skills that last a lifetime.

A Parent-Run, Community-Supported Society
Didsbury Preschool Society is operated by a volunteer parent Board of Directors who meet regularly to oversee the program and ensure its continued success. Fundraising plays an important role in helping us maintain our affordable preschool program while upholding high standards of safety and quality.
We are deeply rooted in the Didsbury community and grateful for the support of local families and organizations who have helped sustain our preschool since 1978.
